How do you make Momos Recipe at Home from scratch?
We are sharing basic and easy formula acquired from the customary Nepali Chinese food (Momos). essentially, it is plain flour based dumplings steamed with cabbage, carrot and spring onion stuffing. it has become a well known road food in India and is commonly presented with a red shaded hot and watery momos chutney.
Momos Recipes Ingredient and Material
4-5 servings
For making chutney: –
a) 2 large tomatoes and 5-6 whole dry red chilies (boiled)
b) 1 teaspoon oil
c) 10-12 garlic cloves
d) 1 inch piece of ginger
e) 1 pinch Ajinomoto
f)Salt to taste
For making momos: –
a) 1 cup all purpose flour
b) 2 cups cabbage
c) 1 finely chopped capsicum
d) 2 finely chopped onions
e)1 teaspoon ground black pepper
f) 1 teaspoon Chaat Masala
e) Salt to taste
How to prepare to Momos Recipes at Home?
Step 1 – For making chutney
Put all the ingredients except the oil in the jar of grinder and grind it fine. Heat oil in a pan, add chutney to it and cook it well for 5 minutes. Take it out in the bowl. Chutney is ready.
Step 2 – To make Momos
First of all cut the cabbage. Put 1 teaspoon salt in a vessel and heat the water. Now let the cabbage remain submerged in it for 10 minutes, take it out after 10 minutes, and squeeze out all the water.
Step 3 – Put the cauliflower in the mixer and grind coarsely and take it out in a bowl, now add onion, capsicum, black pepper, salt and Chaat Masala and mix well.
Step 4 – Now sieve the flour thoroughly in a vessel, add salt and a spoon of oil to it and with the help of water take a little tight lump. Cover and keep for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes make small balls of maida.
Step 5 – Now take a dough and apply a little Maida or flour on it and roll it thin. Fill the spice of Momos and stop giving the shape of Momos. Make all Momos in this way. Heat the water in a vessel, place a steel mesh over it and put all the Momos in it and cover it completely on top. When the Momos are cooked well in steam, take them out and serve them with chutney.
